As part of Redis Cloud onboarding, subscribing through AWS Marketplace allows you to centralize billing, access private offers, and streamline procurement. This guide focuses on completing your Marketplace setup successfully and provides troubleshooting steps for common onboarding and mapping issues.

Use this guide after:

Starting an AWS Marketplace subscription for Redis Cloud.
Confirming you have AWSMarketplaceFullAccess IAM role and are the Redis Cloud Account Owner.

Troubleshooting Common Setup Issue

Issue During Onboarding	Cause	Resolution
Stuck in Signup Loop or Redirects	Cached browser session or incomplete account mapping.	Clear your browser cache and cookies. Restart the subscription from the AWS Marketplace listing.
Subscribed to Pay‑As‑You‑Go but Want to Switch to Annual (Private Offer)	Private offer was accepted but PAYG mapping remains active.	Complete setup via “Set up your product” to remap Redis Cloud accounts. Keep both PAYG and Annual subscriptions active until mapping completes. If still unresolved, create a Redis Support ticket.
Move Redis Cloud from One AWS Account to Another	Marketplace subscription is tied to the original AWS account.	Create a Redis Support ticket to safely remap and preserve data.
Want to Disconnect Redis Account from AWS Marketplace	Cannot disconnect the last mapped account without risk of data loss.	Add a credit card as a fallback billing method in Redis Cloud. Update all subscriptions to use the credit card. Unsubscribe directly from AWS Marketplace Console. Warning: Unsubscribing without a fallback can delete databases.
Not Able to Add Multiple Redis Accounts to One AWS Subscription	Only one Redis Cloud account was mapped during initial signup.	Redis Cloud → Billing & Payments → Payment Methods → Add Marketplace Account. Or, create a Redis Support ticket for manual assistance.
Private Offer Mapping Fails or Accounts Greyed Out	Mapping throws an error, or accounts appear unavailable in the UI.	Create a Redis Support ticket to correct contract mapping.
Essentials Plan Not Covered by Private Offer	AWS Private Offers only apply to Redis Cloud Pro.	Essentials plan and network/data transfer costs are billed separately by AWS. These may appear as standalone line items outside your committed spend.

AWS Trial Behavior
• New AWS Marketplace subscriptions include a 14‑day / $500 trial.
• After the trial ends, billing automatically switches to Pay‑As‑You‑Go.
Private Offer Considerations
• Essentials subscriptions and data transfer costs are not covered by AWS Private Offers.
• These charges appear separately on AWS bills and may not apply to annual commit spend.
Safe Account Un‑Mapping
• Always add a credit card fallback in Redis Cloud before unsubscribing.
• Reassign subscriptions to the card first to avoid data loss.
• Warning: Unsubscribing without a fallback payment method may delete databases.
Support for Complex Billing Scenarios
• Redis Support can assist with reassigning billing sources, re‑mapping offers, or resolving duplicate invoice issues.
AWS Marketplace invoices are the source of truth for charges billed through AWS. Redis Cloud provides usage visibility and reporting, but cannot modify or reissue AWS Marketplace invoices.
