Redis Support assists with officially supported versions and platforms only. This includes the latest Minor Release of each Major Release still within its support period (18 months after the next Major Release is available), and deployments running on approved operating systems and tools. Redis can't provide support for End-of-Life releases, outdated OS versions, unofficial tools, or custom forks.
Redis Support Policy Overview
Redis provides support for each Major Release for 18 months after the next Major Release is generally available. During this Support Period, Redis offers updates, bug fixes, and Minor Releases for the current Major Release, ensuring ongoing improvements and functionality.
Once a Major Release reaches its End of Life (EOL) after 18 months, Redis no longer provides support for that release or any of its Minor Releases. Additionally, support is only available for Redis running on officially supported platforms and operating systems.
Supported Platforms and Tools
Redis supports Redis Software on officially documented platforms like Ubuntu 22.04, Amazon Linux 2, and RHEL 8, as well as approved Redis CLI tools such as redis-cli and rladmin. Unsupported platforms include outdated OS versions like Ubuntu 14.04, custom forks, and non-official Redis OSS versions. Support is only available for configurations on these approved platforms and tools.
